About This Product

I try to buy Gitesi every year because it's consistently one of the best Rwandan coffees and Rwandan coffees are so delicious. They hold their own against many Kenyan and Ethiopian coffees yet their style is all their own. I think Gitesi is a little wild tasting in a good way much like a bramble character in a great Aussie shiraz. Look for a multitude of spice and sugar notes like nutmeg, ginger, and cinnamon and different types of light and amber honey. Gitesi has a medium body and a clean finish. This makes a fantastic, refreshing iced coffee too.

More about this coffee:
Rwanda is known as The Land of a Thousand Hills due to its rolling topography. This Bourbon coffee was grown at 6500 feet, entirely by small farm owners who bring their coffee for processing at a clean washing station.  Bonuses are paid for quality.

There are almost half a million small coffee farms in Rwanda, averaging just 2.5 acres in size. Your purchase helps support them and efforts to encourage growing the best possible beans.
